Mclean Hilton Tysons Corner Review & American Girl Package
{Pin It}

During our visit to the American Girl Tysons Corner Store we stayed one night at the McLean Hilton in Tysons Corner. The hotel is gorgeous and the American Girl Package was a great option.

Mclean Hilton American Girl Doll Bed

Getting the American Girl Package not only meant a great rate (cheaper than other discounts) but there was a complementary American Girl doll bed in the room that LuLu was able to keep.  She might have 3 beds for her doll at home, but having a travel bed sure made her a happy girl!

She also received a little goodie bag with a free breakfast voucher. Additionally, the package comes with FREE shuttle service to the Tyson Corner Mall, so you don’t have to drive.  It was nice to just jump on the shuttle and not have to worry about parking.

McLean Hilton Rooms

The rooms were nicely decorated and clean.  We didn’t have much of a view but that was fine.  We didn’t spend much time in the room anyways.  The beds were comfortable, so that’s always a plus. I hate staying in a hotel room where I toss and turn all night.

The kiddos enjoyed getting to lay in bed and watch TV before falling asleep after a long day of shopping at Tysons Corner Mall.

McLean Hilton Bathroom

The bathroom was lovely.  I enjoyed the shower and how clean that was as well.  Can you tell I have a thing for cleanliness?

In the picture above you can get a glimpse of the room from the beds and facing toward the door.

McLean Hilton Pool

Make sure to pack swimsuits so the kids can swim in the indoor pool after shopping.  It was nice to let the kiddos release some energy before dinner while hubs and I relaxed in the lounge chairs.  There is even a lifeguard on duty.

You can also see the nicely equipped gym in the corner of the picture.

The lobby is gorgeous with tons of comfortable seating, a nice bar and a fabulous chandler.  My husband and I had a drink at the bar while the kiddos watched TV and checked out the lobby.  We enjoyed getting to relax while watching them explore and experience the hotel without us hovering.

There were even Mac computer available for guest use.  I should have taken a picture of the lobby, but I forgot. You can actually see all the way up the middle of the hotel with the rooms surrounding the circle.

härth restaurant McLean Hilton

We ate dinner at härth restaurant in the McLean Hilton. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food was simply amazing! Seriously, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. All the food is local and they even have their own organic garden!  While it was a pricey dinner, it was definitely worth every penny.  The restaurant thought of every detail, even providing a little high chair for LuLu’s doll.  That is the only picture my husband would let me take in the restaurant 🙂

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the McLean Hilton Tysons Corner in DC and will stay there again during our next trip to the American Girl Store.

Looks like a great hotel! We usually don’t really care about not having a view either – as long as the room is nice, comfortable and clean we’re happy!

Exactly Meg! Views are a nice bonus but clean and comfortable are more important.

I’d love to jump in that pool and swim some laps! I also wouldn’t mind the pricey meals so long as the food was all local and organic as you say! 😉

I was pleasantly surprised with a food quality, especially for a hotel restaurant.

I didn’t know there was an American Girl store in DC – I thought the only one was in NYC. I was obsessed with my American Girl doll when i was younger so this would have made me so happy. I love that they include all of those little details and, like you mentioned, the hotel room looks great for adults too!

Great review and that American Girl Package is a nice touch! It’s so cute and I would understand how your daughter loved it so much! (I would have loved one for myself when I was small haha!) I have never been to a Hilton hotel so it’s nice to hear that they serve well. 🙂
