Can You Visit Las Vegas on a Budget? Tips for Affordable Travel in Sin City

If you’re on a tight budget, there might be certain types of holidays and destinations that feel out of reach. Las Vegas is probably one of the first ones that springs to mind. But it doesn’t have to be that way. The Entertainment Capital of the World can be enjoyed no matter what your budget is. You just need to know how.

This guide will give you all the insider information you need to enjoy Sin City without breaking the bank.

Finding the Right Accommodation

When you think about Las Vegas you’re probably imagining decadent casino resorts, penthouse suites, and 24/7 amenities that will cost you the earth. But did you know that there are plenty of cheap hotels in Las Vegas and other accommodation options that will fit your budget?

To make your accommodation more budget-friendly, look for hotels that are not directly on the Strip. For example, The Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino is only minutes away from this iconic street, but offers rooms from $64 per night. You can experience a taste of luxury without the expensive price tag while still being close to the action.

If your heart is set on staying on the Strip itself, you will have to pay a little more. But, there are still affordable options out there. Flamingo Las Vegas offers rooms from $90 a night, meaning you can have a quintessential Vegas experience while sticking to your budget.

If you don’t mind sharing a room, consider the Bungalows Hostel. It might not be for everyone, but it’s a great way to cut costs and even make some new friends. However, if this isn’t for you, check out vacation rentals on Airbnb. There you’ll find plenty of affordable options that could provide a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Top Tip: Take advantage of off-peak deals and cash in any hotel reward points you might have accumulated. This might help you upgrade your accommodation without any additional cost.

You can find the best Las Vegas deals hotels, suites, and more, without doing a lot of work. Las Vegas is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the US, and with a little effort, you can travel in style for less than you might think. Here are some tips for finding the best hotel deals in Vegas.

How to Find the Best Las Vegas Deals: Hotels and More

Join Casino/Hotel Email Lists – Despite what many people think, not all deals are advertised on sites like Travelocity and Expedia. Many of the best deals at the MGM Grand, Bellagio, and Bally’s send their best deals to their email list members. Consider joining the email lists a few months before your trip so you can keep an eye out for the best deals.

Check with the Las Vegas Tourism Office – Las Vegas is known for its marketing campaigns—”What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas” comes to mind for many people—so don’t forget to check here for deals. There is a tab on the tourism office’s website that is dedicated to special deals. You can find sale prices on hotels as well as deals for restaurants and those famous Vegas shows.
