Nice is a beautiful city full of sunshine, brightly colored buildings and a sparkling sea. While most of the city is picture perfect, we picked 10 of the most instagramable spots in Nice to help make your Instagram account pop.  Check out some of our favorite Nice, France photos to inspire your visit.

Castle Hill

Promenade View

Are you following us on Instagram?

Head up to Castle Hill (La Colline de Château) for sweeping views over the city of Nice and the Mediterranean Sea. It’s one of the most photographed locations, so don’t miss snapping a photo or three from this vantage point.

Flower Power on Castle Hill

During the Spring and Summer, the flowers will be in full bloom on Castle Hill.  This photo was taken next to the Archeological site.

#ILoveNice Sign on the Promenade des Anglais

nice france photos

The #ILoveNice sign is great for any Instagram account.  You don’t want to miss the brightly colored sign with the blue backdrop of sea and sky.  You can even get a shot sitting in the “c” to add more personality to the photo.

Blue Chairs on the Promenade des Anglais

The iconic blue chairs (chaises bleues) on the Promenade des Anglais make a nice change to your grid.  Take the photo from behind looking at the sea or at an angle looking down the chairs.

The Beach

It’s not possible to visit Nice without spending some time on the pebbled beach.  Take photos of the pebbles, of the stripped umbrellas set up at the restaurants during the summer or just a photo of the kids as they stroll along the shore.

Cours Saleya Market

The striped awnings and brilliantly colored fresh fruits and vegetables make a lovely photo.  Just ask for permission before you start snapping away at the stalls.

Streets of Old Town – Rue Saint-Hospice

There are so many lovely streets in Old Town (Vieux Ville), that it’s difficult to select favorites. The photo above is taken on Rue Saint-Hospice.

Another lovely street view in Old Nice is looking down Rue Rossetti.  Take the photo walking down from Castle Hill while completing our Nice, France Family Guide.

Colorful Fishing Boats at the Port

The colorful fishing boats, Pointus, in the Port of Nice are often missed by visitors.  Head to the opposite side of the port from Old Town to Quai des Deux Emmanuels to find these boats docked together.

Another great angle to capture the boats can be seen here.

Niçoise Cuisine

Foodies may want to include some tasty treats from the French Riviera.  Snap photos of the Salade Niçoise, baguettes, socca, ice cream or enjoying a glass of rosé.

Not sure what foods to try? We have a list of the 10 must try foods in Nice to help you eat your way through the city.

Views from Cimiez

If time allows, make a trip up to Cimiez for lovely views over the city.  It’s also worth visiting the Monastery, Roman Amphitheater and museums while in the area.  See more about what to see in Cimiez here.

There are so many instagramable shots in Nice that you’ll be posting photos for weeks after a visit!  Leave a comment and let us know what other locations around Nice are picture perfect.  You can also tag us with #thetalkingsuitcase in your Nice, France photos.
